Texas A&M has its fair share of iconic symbols but none as rough, tough and full of grit as Ol’ Sarge.

Conceived by the late Pete Tumlinson ‘42 during his time as a cadet in Texas A&M’s Corp of Cadets, Sarge’s first appearance was in 1938 for the Battalion’s Magazine comic strip as ‘Magarkin’, a tough as nails sergeant meant to depict the Corp of Cadets’ upperclassmen.

Sarge has a long, complicated and sometimes controversial existence for A&M. For many years he wasn’t even depicted in anything related to A&M but now with the help of our studio, he’s back and tougher than ever.

As former students ourselves, it was an honor to create this officially licensed collectible. Made in the heart of Aggieland at our shop in College Station, TX, Sarge is back home and ready to BTHO your bookshelf.

As part of our continued mission to ‘Make and Do Good’ every purchase of our Ol’ Sarge collectible helps fund our scholarship for Texas A&M Students which so far has raised nearly $20,000!
